Life update & next video ^_^

Hello Stranger

I don't really know how to start off this blog post because I cannot express how sorry I am for my MIA status these last 6 months >_<

I actually feel quite ashamed to say I've been neglecting my blog and Youtube channel for 6 months!!!!

Let me explain myself though because there is a legitimate explanation :)

Ok so my last blog post was when I was still in Thailand right....well since I came back to Perth, there's been a couple of big changes in my life which has taken the majority of my focus and attention.

No 1 - I finally moved into my house with my other half! You may or may not have watched my house tour video which I recorded during an inspection of the house but settlement hadn't gone through yet at that time. We officially moved into the house in late March so I was busy furniture shopping (fun fun) and settling into life living with my other half because we've never actually lived together before.

No 2 - I GOT ENGAGED!!!!! I have been very busy wedding planning because the wedding is in November this year and he only popped the question in May so I had 6 months to plan the wedding. I'm actually quite proud of myself because the planning is almost done. I've only just got some small bits and pieces left to do.

So those are the 2 biggest events that have preoccupied my time over the last 6 months but now that the wedding planning is almost done, I've got more time to focus on my blog and Youtube. I'm most probably going to be dedicating more time to my blog than Youtube just because Youtube can take up a significant amount of time and I don't want to be too stressed leading up to the wedding so I hope you guys can understand.

Ok enough about me...what am I going to be doing tomorrow? For the first time in a long time, my Saturday will actually be free so I will be filming a review video on lip crayons. If you don't know what they are, here's a pic:

Mega Shopping Spree

I have been on a mega shopping spree since the Black Friday sales started!

At the moment, I've got 7 packages on their way to me and this is on top of packages that have already arrived.

Tis definitely the season for discounts too hard to resist and finding major bargains...agree?

So I'm going to show you some of the stuff I've bought but I will be uploading a Black Friday Haul video but I'm still waiting for my Sigma purchase to arrive.

Guess who bought a house?!

Hi guys!

After 8 months of searching for a house and using all day on Sundays to view houses, it is finally all over! It has been a very tiring journey but finally I can enjoy the perks of owning your own home and that is furniture shopping, decorating it how you like, dinner parties and Sunday sessions with friends ^_^

So our house is a brand new 2 storey house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bottom floor has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and the laundry room. The second floor has the living/dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and balcony.

Yeah for some reason the living/dining and kitchen is on the top level which I find really weird and we have to somehow find a way to get the furniture upstairs >_<

Anyway on Sunday, we went back to the house to give you guys a tour which you can watch here:

I use to go on the US Gucci website and see web exclusives that I couldn't order because they didn't ship to Australia so here are some of the reasons why I'm loving the Australian online store:

I shop at Priceline ALL the time! It's the place where I buy all my skincare and make up products. An incentive for me to shop there is that I have a Priceline card which collects points for every dollar I spend and every quarter, if I've spent enough (I always spend enough) I'll get a voucher to use in store.

My BF actually complains about the amount of times I go to Priceline. I drop in maybe a couple of times a fortnight but he thinks I go everyday! But we know all boys exaggerate hehe.

Biore Beauty Panel WINNER!!!

Just a quick post/update before I head out to dinner.

If you follow me on Facebook, you’ll know that I am one of the winners of the Biore Australia Beauty Panel competition!!!!!

(Biore is pronounced “Bee-or-ray”, for ages I pronounced it as “Bi-or” >_<)

I entered the competition earlier this year and I totally forgot about it until a couple of weeks ago when I received an email saying that I, along with 7 other people won the competition to be on the Biore Beauty Panel!

The first sentence of the email was something along the lines of “there were a lot of entries and it was really hard to choose the winners…etc” and as soon as I read that, I was like “:( I didn’t win again”… Thank goodness I kept reading the email otherwise I’d have missed out.

New Look + Outfit of the Day

Morning all,

I went to the hairdressers yesterday to get my hair done. About time since my regrowth was getting pretty bad >.<

I bought a voucher off Cudo for this so I'll be writing a proper review on the salon soon :D

Anyway, I wanted the same hairstyle I had so I got it trimmed a bit. The colour I had before was a light brown and it eventually turns brassy at the ends which I didn't really like so I opted for a darker colour. It's a pretty dark black/brown but I'm assured that it won't turn brassy which is good. Ok here are the photos:

I should've done a before and after but I guess you can see it in my videos :D

Atrium Resort Hotel Mandurah Review

Hi ^_^

This post is about 2 months overdue but better late than never right?

So you may or may not know that I went on a short weekend getaway with my boyfriend in early January. We went to Mandurah which is a city an hour south of Perth and we stayed at the Atrium Resort Hotel which I am going to be reviewing now.

The reason we stayed there was because I bought a voucher from Cudo for $149 for 2 nights stay. The voucher also included a $50 voucher to use at their Pontoon restaurant. We arrived at about 11am and check-in is usually at 2pm but because our room was ready, they let us check-in early.

Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Studio room on the 4th floor which I read had been refurbished. Our room contained a small kitchen area, a bathroom, bed, dining table, flat screen tv and air con.

The bed was really comfortable and comparable to say a 3.5 star hotel bed.

I want to say a very big Thankyou to all my YouTube subscribers!!!! ^_^ I now have over 200+ subscribers and it has certainly made my day.

200+ subscribers may not seem very much compared to the bigger Beauty/Fashion Youtubers out there but to me, it means a lot. I see it as a kind of achievement. I mean when I first started on Youtube, I wasn't sure whether people would like me or not or if anyone was going to subscribe at all. To have 200+ subscribers in a little under 2 months feels amazing to me.

So it goes to show that if you work hard, put in the time and effort and just keep at it, you will reap the rewards and this isn't just for Youtubing. It's for everything that you do in your life.

As long as people want to watch my videos, I will keep making them and I hope that from here on, my channel can become a bigger success.

Without the support of you guys, my channel wouldn't be what it is now so I owe it all to you guys ^_^

Also, I wrote on my channel page that I'll do a giveaway when I reach 250 subscribers but I haven't thought of what to give in the giveaway so if you have any suggestions, comment down below please :)

Quick Update

Hey ^_^

This is just a really quick update on what I've been up to.

So have you seen my latest video that I uploaded yesterday? It's just the opening of my ilovethisbox February box. You can watch it below:

I'm really happy with it and I'm hoping that each month's box will be awesome like this one. It is only for Australian residents though but I do know that the US have something similar but I'm not sure of the name.

I really enjoyed my Valentines Day this year. Normally my bf and I don't really celebrate Valentines Day because we can show we love each other everyday :) I don't actually know why we celebrated it this year but it was really fun. He surprised me with a rose and I was SO happy because he doesn't give me flowers...ok well it's kinda because I think it's a waste of money and the flowers die :( I was just so happy because it was something that I didn't expect so yeah. He also gave me a Hello Kitty necklace from Swarovski and I'm actually wearing it in the video above.

On the subject of necklaces, one of my favourite necklaces broke today :( I was just walking back into work and the necklace broke and the pearls scattered everywhere around me. I have no idea how it broke but here it is:

Thank goodness two people came to help me pick them up. It was so nice and kind of them. Have you done any kind deeds lately?

Important lesson - keep your receipts!!!

It is SO important to keep your receipts when you go shopping and I'm going to share a story with you about what happened to me today. Don't worry, it's got a good ending :).

When I went to Melbourne last year in September, I bought two bags from Myer. One was by Wayne Cooper and the other one (below) was a black satchel bag by Ooh La La.

I actually really liked the bag because it was cute and convenient with both a short and long strap so I could either hang it on my elbow or carry it like a satchel. Sadly, after about 5 days of carrying the bag, the stitching on the satchel strap came off! I didn't have anything particularly heavy in the bag either. It was just the standard stuff like wallet, phone, bottle of water, lipstick, lipgloss, tissues, face powder etc but nothing extremely heavy. Thank goodness I kept the receipt!

Semi-Productive Day

Dear Diary,

Today turned out to be only a semi-productive day. I actually stayed home today which is rare because I'm usually always out with my bf on weekends but my cousins came over today so I stayed home.

I actually wrote down a "to do" list which I had intended to complete but totally failed >.<

My "to do" list was:
1. wash clothes - tick
2. reorganise and tidy up skincare products shelf - semi done
3. tidy up bags and change bags for the week - not done
4. record videos - not done
5. put Hello Kitty wall art on the wall - tick
6. wash Sigma brushes - not done
7. create Photobook - tick

So I did manage to do 3.5 of the things on my list which is 50%. That's a pass right? hehe and here's my Hello Kitty wall art. It's so cute and definitely makes my wall not so dull.

I'm hoping I can finish the list tomorrow after work but we'll see....goodnight for now ^_^

Another Christmas Gone

Hi ^_^

Another Christmas has come and gone :( It's amazing how much buzz Christmas can create each year in the lead up to it yet it passes so quickly.

It's kinda sad because when Christmas ends, it tells me that in another 6 days it will be a whole new year. Time flies too quickly don't you reckon?

Anyway, I had a quiet but very enjoyable Christmas this year and got spoilt rotten by the boyfriend. I'll be featuring my presents in the December Haul video which I will be filming later on this week but will most likely be up before NYE because tomorrow is Boxing Day in Australia!!! I think that's the equivalent of Black Friday in the US? Correct me if I'm wrong :)

So Boxing Day is basically the day after Christmas when EVERYTHING goes on sale! That's actually quite funny because this year, my bf and I were going to wait till Boxing Day to get our Christmas presents for each other because it'll be way cheaper but it didn't work >.< Some of the presents on my wishlist were disappearing quite fast so we ended up getting them in case they weren't going to be there on Boxing Day which they won't be now because they're all sold out so that was good that we got them first. There is still 2 more items on my wishlist which we are going to get tomorrow though so fingers crossed they haven't sold out.

I'm all worn out and need to go to bed so goodnight all. I hope that you've had an enjoyable Christmas this year and that Santa got you the presents you wanted ^_^

Nature's Calling

Hi ^_^

 So yesterday the bf and I were bored and I had my camera with me so I said "let's walk to the park so I can take pictures of flowers" and he reluctantly said yes >.<

I love taking pictures but I'm in no way a professional and I probably wouldn't even say I'm a budding photographer. I just love the way the camera focuses on one object and blurs out everything else. It's so beautiful because it's like that object has the undivided attention of the camera and the ability to be able to capture that is amazing.

I'd like to share with you guys some of the pictures I took and you guys can use them as wallpapers or whatever you want but I do ask that you credit it back to me :) If you want the full size image, comment below and I'll be in touch.

Review - Subiaco Skin Technology Clinic (Eye Treatment & Lash Extensions)

Good morning sunshines!

Ok so yesterday I went to get an eye treatment and lash extensions because I bought a voucher from Cudo to use at the Subiaco Skin Technology Clinic here in Perth. I wanted eyelash extensions to save time in the morning so that I wouldn't need to put mascara on.

First Impression:
One word to describe it - SMALL
It was nothing I had expected at all. Firstly, it was hard to find. The address is Hay Street but the entrance was actually off a side street. Then when I walked in, I thought I had gone to the wrong place because it was SO small! The clinic basically consists of 2 rooms. The first room is the lobby/reception and the second room is where you get your treatments done with other people. The treatment room had 2 lay back lounge chairs so you don't even get a room to yourself.

I haven't posted in a few days so thought I'd just say hi to you guys :D

Anyway...I've been busy working on my YouTube channel -> twinkylalaful

I know that I have a lot to improve on in terms of my presentation style, video quality and also the contents. I say a lot of "um"s and I really hate that but I can't seem to stop saying it because I'm so nervous >.< I promise I'll work on it because sometimes even I get annoyed at people who say too many "ums".

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I absolutely LOVE my iPad 2. I love it so much that sometimes I feel lost without it >.< I just love the convenience of it. It's lightweight, looks nice and sleek and it's really simple to use! Especially compared to some of the Android tablets.

I love all the apps that it has to offer and I made the following collage with an app called Album App which is a free app.

Youtube Channel

Hey everyone ^_^

So I just created a Youtube channel called twinkylalaful. Doesn't it sound great? I actually just wanted the username to be 'twinkylala' because that's the name of my blog but it was already taken and Youtube suggested I take 'twinkylalaful' which I really like :D

So I will be posting up videos of product reviews, maybe tutorials and just random things I find interesting.

The reason I created a Youtube channel is because I understand that some people are visual types of people and they like to see/look rather than read. This doesn't mean I'm abandoning my blog, I will still write proper posts to the videos for those who prefer to read or don't want to waste internet data.
