Life update & next video ^_^

Hello Stranger

I don't really know how to start off this blog post because I cannot express how sorry I am for my MIA status these last 6 months >_<

I actually feel quite ashamed to say I've been neglecting my blog and Youtube channel for 6 months!!!!

Let me explain myself though because there is a legitimate explanation :)

Ok so my last blog post was when I was still in Thailand right....well since I came back to Perth, there's been a couple of big changes in my life which has taken the majority of my focus and attention.

No 1 - I finally moved into my house with my other half! You may or may not have watched my house tour video which I recorded during an inspection of the house but settlement hadn't gone through yet at that time. We officially moved into the house in late March so I was busy furniture shopping (fun fun) and settling into life living with my other half because we've never actually lived together before.

No 2 - I GOT ENGAGED!!!!! I have been very busy wedding planning because the wedding is in November this year and he only popped the question in May so I had 6 months to plan the wedding. I'm actually quite proud of myself because the planning is almost done. I've only just got some small bits and pieces left to do.

So those are the 2 biggest events that have preoccupied my time over the last 6 months but now that the wedding planning is almost done, I've got more time to focus on my blog and Youtube. I'm most probably going to be dedicating more time to my blog than Youtube just because Youtube can take up a significant amount of time and I don't want to be too stressed leading up to the wedding so I hope you guys can understand.

Ok enough about me...what am I going to be doing tomorrow? For the first time in a long time, my Saturday will actually be free so I will be filming a review video on lip crayons. If you don't know what they are, here's a pic:

Days 13, 14 & 15 - JJ Market & back to Siam

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

For some of you, V-day would have been yesterday like it was for me and for others on the other side of the world, it's today. Whatever it is that you did or you're going to do, I hope that it is with someone important to you. It doesn't have to be a boyfriend or girlfriend, it can be a friend, a sibling or even spending time with you mum or dad.

Ok back to my hauls for days 13, 14 & 15.

Day 13 was a Saturday and we went to JJ market which is a weekend market. It's the largest market in Thailand and apparently the world's largest weekend market as well. Either way, it's huge and I doubt you'll be able to cover the whole market in one day. You can find all kinds of goods at JJ market and because it's so big, it's really easy to get lost in one of the alleys and lose your sense of direction so make sure you're always with someone if you're planning to go there.

The prices are relatively inexpensive with most clothing items at around 300 baht or less which is equivalent to about $10 AUD.

I got this gold braided headband for a party I'm going to next Saturday and the theme is white with gold toga inspired accessories so this is perfect.

 

Day 11 & 12 - Squeezing in time at Siam Paragon

Good morning!

Can't believe I'm on my last week here in Bangkok but it doesn't really feel like time has passed fast which is good in a way :D

I'm a bit behind on my daily blog posts because I've had a couple of late night and early mornings so haven't found the time to blog daily and I apologise for that but I won't be missing any days.

So day 11 was last Thursday and my boyfriend and I had some stuff to do so I didn't get to shop much but we did manage to go back to Central Ladprao and squeezed in a little bit of time at Siam Paragon before it closed.

The reason I went back to Central Ladprao was just to finish off my Hello Kitty shopping >_< and this is what I got:

Day 10 - Landing at Terminal 21

Good afternoon guys ^_^

I can't believe I've been here for a week and half already and I know that all too soon, it'll be time to go home :(

I'm gonna be so sad when it's time to go back to reality....

Let's not talk about that hahahha...let's talk about what I did on day 10 which was spent mostly at Terminal 21 but a little bit at Nawamin Avenue Mall.

I have to tell you about Terminal 21 first...Terminal 21 is uniquely different from any other shopping mall in Bangkok because each level of the mall has been decorated into a "street" somewhere in the world. For example, the ground floor is decorated with inspirations from Rome and the 1st floor is recreated into the streets of Tokyo especially Harajuku Town.

Day 9 - Shopping at Platinum Mall

Hey,

So the entire day 9 was spent at Platinum Mall which is the largest wholesale and retail fashion mall boasting over 2000 shops at the complex. It is one of my favourite shopping destinations in Bangkok because you can get SO many bargains there.

The way you get discounts at the shops/stalls is to buy 2 or more items because if you buy 2 or more items, you will get the discounted prices for each item which works out to be a lot cheaper than purchasing one item at the full price. I went to Platinum with my bf and his sister which was handy because sometimes I only wanted one item from a shop and my bf's sister also only wanted one item so we put it together to get the discount :D

I suggest that if you're going to shop at Platinum, go with a friend...

Most items are around the 300 baht range which is equivalent to roughly $10 AUD and if you buy 2 or more items, then the discounted price might say be 250 baht each or something like that.

Day 8 - A Day at CentralWorld

Hi,

I can't believe I've been here for one week already and I'll be back in Perth in exactly 2 weeks :(

Whenever I say "I'm leaving next Sunday", it makes leaving so much closer :( wish I could stay longer but eventually everyone has to return to reality right?

Enough on that...so where did I shop yesterday? You guessed it! At CentralWorld. CentralWorld's website says that it is the largest lifestyle shopping destination in Bangkok and I suppose it's right because it has a huge number of retails stores plus food restaurants/cafes and also entertainment.

I LOVE shopping at CentralWorld. It has quite a few U.S stores which aren't available in Perth but it's so big that you really need the whole day to go from level 1 to 7 if you stop and look in most of the stores.

Day 5, 6 & 7 - Pattaya Getaway

I'm so tired right now and I could fall asleep straight away but I'm staying awake to write this blog post for  you guys because I won't have time tomorrow until late at night so might as well write it now >_<

So on Friday, we set out with my bf's family to Pattaya for a weekend getaway and we booked the Phoenix Lakeside Pool Villa Echo which is a 4 bedroom villa with your very own private pool! It really is amazing and I highly recommend the villa if you're planning to go to Pattaya with a big family. It's also much cheaper than booking separate hotel rooms and you've got the added bonus of a private place with your own private pool and jacuzzi. Don't need to share it with strangers :D

Day 4 - Obsessed with Daiso

Good morning guys,

Yesterday I went to Majoy Cineplex in Ladprao which is not far from Central Ladprao where I went the day before but I spent quite a bit yesterday >_< at Watsons & Daiso.

You might be familiar with Watsons but if you're not, it's a store that stocks Asian branded cosmetics, skincare etc. It's the Asian version of our Priceline but way cooler hahahha.

So I bought 4 packs of My Beauty Diary facial mask sheets for 99 baht each which is equivalent to $3.30 AUD and each pack has 2 sheets so that was a bargain. I also bought Canmake's shading powder and brow powder. I've used the shading powder before to contour my nose which is really good but have yet to try the brow powder. I prefer filling in my brows with powder instead of pencil because I find that powder works better for me.

Day 3 - Lots of cute purchases

So yesterday was day 3 of my trip and we managed to go to one of my favourite shopping spots, Central Ladprao and you'll see why :D

They have a Sanrio section in their department store and usually when I come to Bangkok in December, most of the Sanrio stuff are on sale but there was only a bit on sale this time because I guess the end of year sales are almost ending.

Day 2 - Just a small update

Hi,

So today's my second day in Bangkok. Well technically it should be the first day since I only arrived yesterday afternoon >_<

I didn't really do anything after I landed yesterday. Just got settled in at my bf's sister's house because we're staying here at the moment.

Today, we went to The Promenade shopping mall which I'm told was only recently opened and below is a picture of the front of the mall which I took from their website.

I LOVE the architecture. It's like vintage old french chic style and that style of furniture/architecture is so pretty and cute. You can see more pictures of what the mall looks like on their website.

I didn't actually buy much today. Well, actually I only bought 2 Revlon lip butters. There was a Revlon kiosk in mall and when I asked how much the lip butters were, I was told 240 baht which is equilvalent to $9 AUD!!!! Revlon lip butter retail for about $21 in Australia so I bought 2 in Peach Parfait. One for my sis and one for me.

Not much to update today but I did vlog a bit in the mall so I'll talk to you guys tomorrow and hopefully I'll have more to show/talk about :D

Mega Shopping Spree

I have been on a mega shopping spree since the Black Friday sales started!

At the moment, I've got 7 packages on their way to me and this is on top of packages that have already arrived.

Tis definitely the season for discounts too hard to resist and finding major bargains...agree?

So I'm going to show you some of the stuff I've bought but I will be uploading a Black Friday Haul video but I'm still waiting for my Sigma purchase to arrive.

Guess who bought a house?!

Hi guys!

After 8 months of searching for a house and using all day on Sundays to view houses, it is finally all over! It has been a very tiring journey but finally I can enjoy the perks of owning your own home and that is furniture shopping, decorating it how you like, dinner parties and Sunday sessions with friends ^_^

So our house is a brand new 2 storey house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The bottom floor has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and the laundry room. The second floor has the living/dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and balcony.

Yeah for some reason the living/dining and kitchen is on the top level which I find really weird and we have to somehow find a way to get the furniture upstairs >_<

OOTN - Floral skirt and a touch of purple

Hey!

Apologies for being lazy and not written anything for almost a month >_<

Here's a very very belated outfit of the night (OOTN) post...hope you like!

This was an outfit that I wore on a triple couple dinner date and I wanted to wear something floral but still fitting for a dinner date so I opted for a black skirt with floral details. Since I wanted the focus and attention to be on the skirt, I wore a plain black top so that it wouldn't take the attention away from the skirt. For accessories, I chose a rose gold link necklace braided with purple and to match, purple velvet platform pumps.

I should be filming this weekend...fingers crossed ^_^

OOTD - Mints & Pinks

Hey guys,

Just another outfit of the day post for you guys but this time, I'm playing with brighter pastel colours.

When I was looking at the mint green top and the coral pink jeans, I was thinking that maybe the colours were too bright and it wouldn't go together but I think it worked out pretty good.

My boyfriend wouldn't take the pictures for me unless I stood in front of his bright yellow car because it's a bright colour as well and matches my outfit =_="

TheFaceShop VIP Event

Hey ^_^

So last Thursday, my sister and I went to TheFaceShop's VIP event and we really enjoyed ourselves.
First we were given a demonstration of some of the products and how to use them and what they were good for etc. Then we were all split into 3 groups - nails, eyes and foundation. My sister and I started off at the nail station and were shown the nail colours that TheFaceShop had and 2 volunteers had their nails done by the staff which was really nice. We then moved on to the eyes section and were shown the eyeliners, mascaras and falsh lashes that we could buy and again, a volunteer had her eye makeup done. We didn't have time to go to the foundation section because we ran out of time and the shopping centre was closing but overall we had a really good time.

When we left, everyone was given a goodie bag:

So the goodie bag has a makeup pouch, a scarf, nail polish, mascara, samples, cotton tips, $10 gift voucher and chocolates! I'm not fond of cherry ripes but i'm definitely a Crunchie girl ^_^
